Life

I don't think I am doing so great at this bloggin stuff, but it is time for an update. I had an awful ear infection in both ears for about two weeks, and when I finally got over it, me and Jon started school, (yes we are both going to Weber State) so here is our life in the last few months:

The first picture we were moving a mattress out of our house, so we leaned it against our kitchen table for a minute and we turned around and this was what was going on. The second one we took the scouts to the splash pad in South Ogden so I brought Kaylee with me. The third one was when Kaylee was in the Roy Parade in August for her dance class. Ironically, that little girl with red hair sitting next to her is my brother-in-law Nicks, cousin or cousins kid or something like that. We had no idea until after when I was talking to Stacey.

These next three are of cakes I made this summer. The Spiderman I made one for Jon's friend Ty's little boy, he turned three. Then I made my cousin Rebeckas wedding cake. This was the most different cake I ever made, but I thought it was cute, she wanted it to be different and fun.

This was the night of Kaylee's dance recital, it was at North Davis Jr High (The Clearfield Aquatic Center) She was cute at it, it was kind of funny to watch her.

I can't leave Abbie out, she has been learning to use a spoon. She has done a great job don't you think. She experimented with yogurt and chocolate pudding. Cute Huh?

Finally, today Kaylee started preschool. She goes to the Apple Tree Schoolhouse in Kaysville. She is in the same class as her cousin Mason, so they carpool together. She was so excited to start school and her teacher said she did great today!! I just can't believe she is old enough for preschool.

So here is the semi-annual :) update!!

Hi

So nothing new is really going on in our lives. I guess if I opened my eyes to something other than school right now my life would be thriving with action! This semester I am taking a creative writing class, psychology, astronomy, and geosciences. I love my creative writing and psychology classes. They are a lot of fun, and I understand them. But the astronomy and geoscience classes are awful! I am just not interested in them, so they are so boring!! Since I don't like them as much, the tests are way hard! I need to focus more so I can just pass them and get them out of the way. Does anyone have suggestions on how to enjoy them?? I am only taking those two classes to get my scientific inquiry requirement out of the way. As long as I pass those two, I will only have English, psychology, and education classes left. I should graduate December of 2010, or May 2011. I am shooting for December, but if I don't pass classes or don't want as large of a work load it will be May. Two years!! Yea!! Jon will graduate with his bachelors in May of 2011, but will get his associates May 2009. That means a huge raise!! Yeah!! He works on base and they only want him to have his associates in electronics, but to him it is worth it to get the bachelors! I know for those of you whose husbands are working on their masters or have their masters this seems so mediocre for education. But Jon has enough credits to have his bachelors, he just changed his major too many times. So I am rambling on about school, sorry. Can't you tell that is our life? Oh, so I started facebook, I don't really understand it or how it works but I started it. Anyway, if anyone really read through this post I commend you because it wasn't very exciting! Well have a good day!

Hi

So any of you that look at my blog have probably been way ticked off at me that I haven't done anything lately. Sorry. I am trying to get caught up on life, which suddenly seems impossible as Abbie gets older. Life in our family is completely hectic, as is anyone elses I am sure. The greatest thing going on is that my cute little brother Jay got married on Saturday to Bethany. That was exciting, it's been a long time coming! The second best thing is that Jon is finishing up summer semester this week- which means a few weeks of semi-normalness. Kaylee is loving dance class and will be in the Roy Parade on Saturday! She is always showing off her dance moves! Abbie is a handful as I stated earlier. But she is the cutest little being in the world! Tonight I asked her if she wanted to take a shower (we currently don't have a bathtub) and she looked up at me and said shower back clear as day! I was shocked, she doesn't even say mama! When I have a little more time I will post more summer pictures! I wanted you to know I am still living life even if I am not posting it. By the way, I know a lot of people have been going private with their blogs, I don't think I am going to. But if you read mine, and have gone private with yours and don't mind if I look at it still, will you just email me at hcarbine@gmail.com. I love looking at other peoples blogs! It is the highlight of my life!!

Are dreams just that?

So I've got Jon a little upset with me (in a joking way) because the last two nights I have had clearer dreams than I've had in like forever. So the first night, I had a dream that Jon was called as a general authority, but all of our kids were all grown up. I didn't tell him this part, but part of it, my dad was also called as a general authority with him. My dad part could be likely. And then the next night I had a dream that we had another baby, it was a girl, and she looked exactly like Kaylee and Abbie combined. I told Jon it was a sign, he didn't like that. He is not ready for another one yet, and actually I don't think I want another one quite yet... maybe in about a year or so. But that dream got me really thinking... are dreams just dreams, or could it be a way of telling you something you are supposed to hear and that is the only way to get through to you... obviously not about the general authority thing, but the baby thing... its got me thinking and confused. I mean I saw this baby clearer than day, all of her features... it was pretty cool.

My baby is walking!

Abbie decided she wanted to start walking yesterday. She just stood up and started walking. My kids are very stubborn, so they will not do anything unless they make up their mind and decide what they want to do. I can't even believe how big and grown up she is getting so fast. It didn't seem like Kaylee grew up so fast, and she even started walking at 9 months. I hate how fast kids grow up!
