Drum Roll Please..........

Finally!!! We have a cute baby girl..... she really is!! She looks just like both of her sisters. Anyway, at 3:35 AM, I rolled over to get a more comfortable position to sleep and all of the sudden there was a gush of fluid... my water had broke. So we went straight to the hospital, and I delivered Kenzie at 7:03 AM. She was 8 lbs 12 oz, 19 inches! She is very healthy and strong. Here are some of the pictures. I will try to post better ones later on!!

Due Date

Today is officially my due date for baby #3. Do you think I am doing anything exciting today...... like being in the hospital delivering a baby?? NOPE!!! So many people have asked me if I was going to induce, and the answer is no. I just feel like it isn't right for me. I don't know why, but I can't bring myself to even consider induction. I went a day over with Abbie. We had scheduled the induction for the day after my due date, and I went into labor and we didn't really have to induce. For some people induction is the right choice and it is all a personal choice, but I feel strongly this time that I am not supposed to. There has got to be a reason for that. Besides, I have come this far....... why induce now? LOL. I talked to my sister, Stacey, this morning.... it was good for me. We just joked around and came up with theories as to why I haven't had this baby yet! It is so hard waiting for the baby to come, and really I am doing okay........ I am just really anxious!! You all know that feeling??? Anyway........ maybe this week I will have this baby. Until then, I just wanted to give an update saying......... nothing has happened.

Update!

Still no baby. I would love to do a post with a bunch of pictures saying we have had her, but hasn't happened yet. I could say I am completely miserable and uncomfortable..... but I am not. I can stand to be pregnant longer, after all, I did go a day over with Abbie and she was 9 lbs 5 oz. I don't think I am to that point yet with Kenzie. I am doing fine being pregnant. But the fact of the matter is...... I am frustrated. I want to be able to meet my baby girl, see what she looks like, and hold her. I also want recovery time....... we have so much stuff coming up! On Sunday, will be Jons parents farewell. Since we are living upstairs now and living in the house while they are on their mission, that means the luncheon afterwards will be in the house, hopefully mostly outside. I am a little stressed about it, because I could either be barely home from the hospital, or still in the hospital, or knowing my luck........ still pregnant. I just want to be able to make sure things are nice and cleaned up for them. Also the 4th is coming up. I love the 4th of July! I love all the festivities that go along with it, I love going to the parades, and the barbeques, and fireworks....... the works! But it is going to be very difficult to enjoy it with a week and a half, possibly week old baby! Plus, I know I am not going to be fully recovered or adjusted by then! And my sister is coming that same weekend!!! I am so excited for her and her family to be here, I just want to feel good when they get here so I can spend some time with them and not be ornery or super tired!! Anyway, those are just some of my concerns with her not being here yet. Like I said, I am not miserable or completely uncomfortable with pregnancy. I just want my little girl here!!!!

Happy Fathers Day!!

I was just reading a friend, Jenny's, post and she posted cute pictures of all the dads in her life and some cute quotes! And I was thinking, I did a fun post for mothers day, but that was because I know that pretty much the only people that read my blog are females and are mothers or will be. So I will just say Happy Fathers Day if there are any fathers that do read this blog. I know that my own husband has looked at our blog maybe twice since I started it, and that was because I made him look at and read a few of the posts. He doesn't really care much about the whole blogging thing--- it's my thing!!!

Anyway, I have wonderful fathers in my life. First off, my Dad! He is hilarious and caring and a very hard worker. My dad loves his grandkids. There is a special sparkle in his eye whenever he sees any of them. He loves to hug them and talk to them. I love my dad so much and am so blessed to have him in my life!

Secondly, my father-in-law, he is also caring and humble and sensitive to the needs of others. He has done so much for us these past two years in allowing us to live in his home so that Jon could finish school and also allowing us to stay while he and my mother-in-law dedicate themselves to the Lord in serving a mission. I have grown very close to him and have a great deal of respect for him. They will be leaving in just over two weeks. I will truly miss them, it will be difficult for them to suddenly be gone.

Finally, my husband, Jon. He is an extremely hard worker!! He will do ANYTHING to make sure his family is provided for. He works six days a week-- almost 60 hours each week, plus he goes to school full time and sometimes spends 20 plus hours at school. Now, some of you would say, "When does he spend time with his family?" He makes the time. He makes sure he spends time with his girls each day and fortunately he has a job that allows him to talk on his phone, so I talk to him several times a day because that is usually the only way we can talk to each other. He is a great people person and gets along with everyone! He also makes sure that others needs are taken care of--- sometimes it can be a little much because everyone knows they can count on Jon if they need help and I will admit it can get frustrating when he spends his spare time doing things for others--- but that is an awesome quality that he has! I love my husband!! There is no possible way there would be anybody else in the whole world who is as good a husband for me as he is!! And he is an awesome father!! It takes a special kind of dad to have daughters and he has the patience to have girls. I know he would love to have a son, but he is great with his daughters and loves them so much. And in the future, I really hope that we will be blessed with a son-- if not that is okay!

So, when I sat down to post this I wasn't planning on putting all of that, but it just popped into my head as I wrote. It is Fathers Day this weekend after all and they deserve to be acknowledged for all they do! So to all the special Fathers out there---- Happy Fathers Day!!!

PS.... Still no baby, I am being taught some serious patience right now!! I just want to meet and hold my little girl, but ALL good things take time!!!

Kids say the darndest things!!

Yesterday, I was talking to Abbie. I was telling her that I was going to take her to Grandmas house while I went to the doctor. She said, "Oh no Mommy! Are you sick??" I said, "No, I am just going to get the baby checked." She responds and said, "Oh! Because she is going to come out today!!!! And she is going to be this many!!!" She held up her fist to indicate a zero. She is so cute and so excited for the baby. I just wish she was right about the baby coming out yesterday. That would have been so nice!!!

Today, I was taking my kids to a summer camp that my cousins daughter has put together. Before we left the house the girls had gotten dressed and put their shoes on. I looked at Kaylees shoes, she was wearing those canvas, flat shoes, that have a bow on them, but they are Jonas Bros shoes. They have pictures of the Jonas Bros on the inside. Anyway, I said to her, "Kaylee do you want to wear sandals or flip flops? Are you sure you want to wear those shoes?" She looks at me and says, "Mom I want to wear these shoes. They are my Jonas Brothers shoes and I love the Jonas Brothers. I even dream about them at night!" Might I remind you that she is only 5 years old! I laughed!!

I love my kids! They make each day a brighter adventure!!!

Summer Fun!!

Finally it got warm enough to set up the pool that I bought a while ago. Right now it is nice to have activities the girls can do at home because when you are past 37 weeks pregnant you really don't want to go anywhere. So this is the girls playing in their new pool. They were in it almost all day on Monday.

Birthday Fun!!

Today was my 26th birthday! It was a great day! Yesterday, since it was memorial day, my mom invited everyone over and we celebrated my birthday. Well, I don't really like cake, but my favorite dessert is Strawberry pie. It was kind of hard to put candles in strawberry pie and it turned into quite an ordeal. If you watch the video, pay more attention to my hair on the right side than me actually lighting the candles.

For my actual birthday, I had a hair appointment to get my hair trimmed, and she trimmed up the burned part. Then we took the girls to The Living Planet Aquarium and went to Dinner at Mimis Cafe. It was a fun day!!!
