Last week Abbie got sick, I didn't know what was wrong with her. She was sick to her stomach and in pain, but then she was saying her throat hurt, and this had gone on for almost a week. So I took her into the doctor, it was the day after Easter that I took her in. The doctor walked into the room and said, "Abbie, what is wrong with you today?" And she looked up at him very seriously and said, "I ate too much Easter candy!" I laughed, it was funny because I kept telling her that she couldn't eat very much candy or she would get sick. He suspected strep throat, but the test came up negative, so he said it was probably just a virus and she would get better. She was sick for a few more days, but now she is fine!
I don't give my kids baths very often because we don't have one down here in our basement. They just get showers. So every once in a while I will go up to use my inlaws tub so they can get baths. The other night I took them up to let them take a bath, and after I had washed their hair they were just kind of playing. I was standing there, and Kaylee looked up at me and said, "Mom, I love that Abbie is my best friend, because she is my best friend, but she is also my sister so sometimes I don't like that because she will pull my hair." I also love that they are best friends, they are so cute!
It's the final weeks of school right now, so Jon has not been home hardly at all because he has been working on his senior project at school which is building a Hover Craft. He has been at school past 11 like every night. On Friday he came home from work jsut to grab his backpack and leave. Kaylee wasn't home, but Abbie was and when Jon told Abbie bye she said, "no." Jon said, "Abbie, I have to go to school." And she said, "No you don't! You have to stay home. It is time to just be home!" Jon felt so bad. She was not going to let her dad leave again to go to school. So this morning I called Jon and was talking to him, and Abbie walks in and says, "Is Daddy upstairs today??" And I said "no he is at work." And she looked at me and said, "He needs to come home!" Then she saw I was talking to him and said, "Let me talk to him." She told him the same thing again. She really misses her Daddy! This stage of life is difficult, but we will get through it. Next week he will be done with the semester and home a little more during the summer.

Oh that makes me so sad, it's so hard to see your kids miss their dad when they are away so much. Last year when Eric was in DC it just broke my heart to hear Lance cry everytime Eric had to tell us goodbye. It will be worth it in the end, just keep telling yourself that.
That is sad to hear, but atleast he's doing what he can get make a better future for your family. You're a super mom! Hope you're feeling well!
