Update

For all you who read my post a few posts ago, this is an update on that. Yesterday I hit the six week mark since I gave birth. Throughout the whole six weeks, my bleeding has been very abnormal and non-stop. Plus, my iron has been going up and down. I finally went to my six week checkup yesterday and told her what was going on--- she said something was "definitely not right" So my doctor checked a few things, and then did an ultrasound. Can I just say that an ultrasound looks so different without a baby in there. Anyway, in the ultrasound, you could see a large "blob" I don't know wuite how to describe it. She told me that she knows for sure my whole placenta was delivered. Then she went on to say that it is very rare, but some women actually get a second placenta. She said it looks like that is what it was. It was next to a blood vessel that is feeding it, and it is growing. So then she sent me to a different dr to talk to him and he just said I would need to have a D & C if I was okay with it. What kind of question is that? "No. I want to bleed forever." So tomorrow I will be heading in for the procedure and then everything should be A-Okay. I am really glad that is all that the problem is and that it isn't more serious. Although, I would rather have nothing be wrong, I am glad that they will be able to fix it. I feel very blessed that I got an answer to this problem.

Oh Holly...what a pain. A newborn is hard enough, without dealing with all of that. I had a retained placenta after Carson was born and needed a D&C soon after. So the good news is, they are super fast and easy and no recovery at all. Hope all goes well and you can get yourself back to normal.
