This is Jon. Well, here it is..... My senior project. After a long and hard 9 months, we had a very successful flight out at the Bonneville Salt Flats. We got it to go 55 mph. Now we are working on making it go even faster. Hopefully 80+ mph.

Okay!!
Well, the surgery went well. I am feeling great besides being very dizzy and woozy, I feel good. It actually wasn't a second placenta like they thought, it was actually a small piece of retained placenta that began growing. I am glad they took care of it. The nurse said if I had waited much longer, they would have had to have done a hysterectomy. I am glad that it didn't come to that! So, now I can finally move on and get past the postpartum stage!! Woo Hoo!

Update
For all you who read my post a few posts ago, this is an update on that. Yesterday I hit the six week mark since I gave birth. Throughout the whole six weeks, my bleeding has been very abnormal and non-stop. Plus, my iron has been going up and down. I finally went to my six week checkup yesterday and told her what was going on--- she said something was "definitely not right" So my doctor checked a few things, and then did an ultrasound. Can I just say that an ultrasound looks so different without a baby in there. Anyway, in the ultrasound, you could see a large "blob" I don't know wuite how to describe it. She told me that she knows for sure my whole placenta was delivered. Then she went on to say that it is very rare, but some women actually get a second placenta. She said it looks like that is what it was. It was next to a blood vessel that is feeding it, and it is growing. So then she sent me to a different dr to talk to him and he just said I would need to have a D & C if I was okay with it. What kind of question is that? "No. I want to bleed forever." So tomorrow I will be heading in for the procedure and then everything should be A-Okay. I am really glad that is all that the problem is and that it isn't more serious. Although, I would rather have nothing be wrong, I am glad that they will be able to fix it. I feel very blessed that I got an answer to this problem.

So much better!!
Tonight was a lot of fun! We celebrated my Grandmas 80th birthday at my parents house with all my aunts and uncles and cousins!! For those of you who know the Love Family--- that is a lot of people!!! Anyway, it is so much fun to get together with them--- it is just an awesome family and I am VERY lucky to be a part of it. Anyway, I was talking to some cousins, and they had read my last post and were asking how things were going, and I just told them that seriously, the day after I wrote that post, my 2 older girls were vcry nice and let me sleep in. And, getting that extra sleep really made the most massive difference and I feel so much better!! Ever since that day, life has become manageable! It is amazing what sleep can do for you!!!
I also haven't said much about it, because I haven't wanted people to feel bad or sorry for me, but I experienced something following delivery that has made me thankful! I wrote about how frustrated I was that I wasn't having the baby yet, and how my water broke and that was how I went into labor. Well, throughout the whole process, I didn't really experience contractions--- which was odd because with the other 2 I had massive contractions. Anyway, the delivery was a little difficult because she was posterior, but it all went well and we got her here! But afterwards, the nurses kept coming in and checking on me and acted like something wasn't right. I was bleeding a lot more that I should be, and started passing clots. They told me it was nothing to worry about. Then they started me on fluids and petocin to have contractions AFTER I had delivered. I had 4 bags of it following the birth to help with the bleeding. Well, it went all day and all night. I was in a lot of pain, and no one was telling me what was going on. Finally, a nurse came in to talk to me and told me that my platelets were low when I went in to deliver and they kept dropping, meaning my blood was not clotting. That is why they had to give me the medicines to contract. Well, finally it was under control and they kept me on the meds. Finally, that night, my doctor came in to talk to me and she explained the situation thoroughly. She told me they didn't know what had caused the problem, because my blood pressure was normal. But I was losing too much blood. Fortunately the meds had worked and I was finally at a normal loss. She then went on to say that in the olden days before medication this was the number one reason that they lost women in child birth. Can you imagine? I am so thankful that I live in a day when there are medications available and that I was taken care of. And after that-- with the exception of one more trip to the ER and more meds--- I have been fine. I have had AMAZING ward members take their time to come help me clean my house and cook meals. After all of that, my levels are completely normal, my iron is normal, and everything is fine. I feel great. There may be some people that may not have the same beliefs as me that read this, but I am very thankful that everything has worked out and I am doing well. I strongly feel that a lot of it had to do with Priesthood blessings, and I am thankful for a husband, dad, and father-in-law that were able to perform them for me. I know I am truly blessed!!!

Life
People have always commented about how difficult it is to have their 3rd child. When I was pregnant, I was thinking-- "how hard could it really be?" Well, now I know. It has been very overwhelming. I think it hasn't helped that I had some after-birth problems, and can't do a whole lot right now. Plus you just feel blah those first few weeks- which I haven't gotten past yet. I just want to feel semi-normal again. I have an awesome baby. She just sleeps all the time, which helps out a lot. It isn't the baby that is the hard part. It is the other two kids and keeping up with them and their messes and which literally prohibit me from getting a good amount of sleep, because although the baby sleeps-- I have to be awake when the other two are and baby still wakes up to eat every 3 hours. So that is the thing I want the most--- which isn't likely, is to feel well rested!! Life just has to continue on whether you have a baby or not. Here is my question to those of you with kids-- it doesn't matter if its 2, 3, 4 or 6. When does life start feeling semi-normal again???
