Dance Recital and Graduation

Kaylee had her dance recital last week. She doesn't want to take dance anymore---at least right now--- because she says "dance is very boring!" She really wants to do gymnastics. She did a good job at her recital and looked beautiful! She does enjoy performing she just does not enjoy the weekly rehearsals. She has taken from Studio 48 for the past two years, and the recital was at Roy High.
Here are our family members who came to support her-- Jons parents, my mom, my sister Emily and her cute baby Noah.
I decided to throw this one in there of my VERY pregnant belly! Still with a month to go! I didn't know Jon was taking this picture, but I am kind of glad he did because I don't like pregnancy pictures!
Kaylee also graduated preschool this week. She took from Apple Tree Schoolhouse in Kaysville last year, and BuziBee in Layton this year. She really enjoyed preschool but is so excited for kindergarten. She keeps asking me how long til she gets to start kindergarten.

Her graduation was held at Dinosaur Park. She is just growing up! I can't believe she is going to be 6 this year!!

Crazy Hair Day!

Kaylee had crazy hair day at school today. Abbie wanted hers done too, but I didn't have enough time to do hers all the way before Kaylee had to go to school. Kaylee loved her crazy hair. Her grandpa came upstairs and he said, "you look funny!" and she said, "No, I look crazy!!"

Abbie's Birthday!

Abbie turned 3 on Saturday, May 15. I can't believe she is 3 already! She has been such a highlight in our life. She has always been fairly mellow and just a fun little girl all around. For her birthday, we went to my sister, Emily's, apartment in Salt Lake. She was so nice to let us come. She lives just east of the Temple, so we went to Temple Square to see the flowers because they are so beautiful this time of year, and we took some pictures. Then we had sandwiches and cake, and finally we went swimming. That was actually the reason we wanted to go to her apartment, because she has a swimming pool and Abbie has begged to go swimming for weeks, so we thought that would be a great way to spend her birthday. Plus, she LOVES Danny, Emily, and Noah--- Noah is like her favorite person in the world. She just smothers the poor little guy. I am sure Emily is thinking she can't wait until I have my baby so my kids will back off Noah a little bit. Anyway, here are some pictures of our fun festivities.

I also have to say, at 8 months pregnant I didn't think there would be any possible way I would put on a swimsuit. Then I had a friend that said she went swimming a couple of days before her due date and it felt awesome because she felt completely weightless. So I did, and it really was awesome. I didn't even feel like I was pregnant! However, when I got out of the pool and stepped onto the ground, the baby felt like she was 200 pounds. It was a fun day though! Abbie really enjoyed herself. She did not want to get out of that pool!

Third Baby???

I know that a lot of people who read my blog have three kids or know someone who does. So, here is the deal. I was so excited to have Kaylee and Abbie and I felt ready for them several months before my due date. For some reason, I have been having mixed emotions about this one. I am down to around six weeks, which is still a while, I know. But, I just don't feel ready for three kids, I don't know what it is. Is it that I feel overwhelmed lately with 2?? Did I get myself into something I wont be able to handle?? Is it that I haven't pulled the clothes out?? I think that no matter how much "stuff" I have ready for her, I am not going to be ready for her. I am very fortunate that Kaylee is so old, I know there are a lot of you who have three children that are all very young and very close in age. Tomorrow is Abbies 3rd birthday and Kaylee will be 6 later this year, so it is not like I will have 3 babies or even 2 for that matter. Kaylee will be going off to kindergarten in a few months.
Another thing is that I have actually felt a little bit guilty about having her. First off, Jon still has a year of school left--- just to get his bachelors, and a lot of people think you should get your education before having kids. Secondly, we live in my in-laws house-- given they are going on a mission and we are "house sitting" for the next two years, but we don't even have our own place. Do those two things make us too unstable to have any more kids?? And finally, there are a lot of people who want to be parents so badly or want more children, and have not been able to get pregnant. And it is people who are done with school or nearing completing their masters, people that have homes and are settled in life. It makes me feel bad that people struggle so badly with this and I get pregnant extremely easily.
By the way, I am not saying that I don't want this baby or am not excited I am having her, I am very excited! But logically, I feel like it doesn't make sense right now to be having her. I know whithout a doubt that my children have been sent to me when they were supposed to. I am sure everything is going to work out, but how do I emotionally prepare for baby #3??? How do I get over this emotional battle I am dealing with?? Does anyone have suggestions?

Kids..... again

As I have mentioned before, we moved upstairs in my inlaws house. We have been living downstairs for the past two years, and they are leaving on a mission July 5th, so we moved upstairs last week because they are currently on a two week cruise. They were very generous with us and told us they would rather us do the move so I could get settled before the baby came. I wasn't sold on the idea of moving being so pregnant, but my mother-in-law really wanted to do it in advance so I agreed... I am really glad that I did and it is just about done now so I can focus on getting ready for Kenzie.

Anyway, today I was catching up on laundry...... I put it aside as we were trying to move and it really needed to be done. So I was in my bedroom folding clothes, Kaylee was playing a game on the computer in the kitchen, and Abbie was playing with her Barbies and Barbie car. She had put two Barbies in her car and was driving it around. All of the sudden I heard them screaming at each other in the kitchen and Abbie comes running into the bedroom with a death grip on her car and Barbies. Kaylee comes chasing her in and says, "Abbie I just want one, you need to share."
Abbie says, "NO!"
So I asked, "What is going on?"
Kaylee says, "Abbie wont give me one of the Barbies and I want one!"
So I said to Kaylee, "There are several Barbies over there, just go choose one of them."
She said, "No, I want one of the ones that Abbie has!"
I said, "Abbie had them first, you need to choose another one."
So Kaylee looks at Abbie and says, "Abbie, if you don't give me one, then I am not going to play with you anymore!"
And Abbie looks up at Kaylee and says very calmly, "Yep, you wont play with me anymore, that's right."

Kaylee thought she was threatening Abbie, and Abbie turned the tables on her, she didn't care. I started laughing at Abbies mellow reaction. Kaylee got even more angry, and so Abbie walked up and asked her which one she wanted. Then both of them were fine. I think that little Abbie really has learned how to push peoples buttons. I know without a doubt that this is only the beginning of several fights they are going to have........... oh I can't wait 10 years for those serious teenage years........ 3 girls............ oh FUN!!!
